                              The Ghana national flag.

The Ghana national flag is a national symbol which stands for the hopes, aspirations, spirit and souls of Ghanaians. The Ghana national flag was designed by Mrs. Theodosia Salomeh Okoh, a Ghanaian to replace the flag of Britain i.e the Union Jack. The Ghana national flag are of the colours red, yellow and green horizontal strips with a five pointed black star in the middle of the yellow strip. Each colour has it meaning and they are as follows;


                                   
Red:

It stands for the blood and toil of our forefathers who struggled for Ghana's independence

Yellow:

Yellow stands for the mineral worth of the country such as gold, diamond, bauxite and manganese.

Green:

It stands for Ghana's rich and productive lands.

Black star.
